Although I don't agree with the Black Panther's stances on communism and reverse racism, and we probably wouldn't get along personally, the Black Panthers can't hold a handle to what the KKK did. Yes, they are both racist, but where as the Black Panthers might have been uppity, the KKK was a terror force. They raped. They tortured. They killed children. They firebombed A CHURCH. I"m not saying those Black Panthers should get off scot free, but let's keep things in perspective. Quite frankly, even though I"m white and lean conservative, I have a tiny bit more respect for the panthers for how they tend to carry themselves. It's not always right, but it has more common sense than a damn riot. I would choose panthers over rioters and looters any day. Sad thing is, I actually have respect for both the Panthers AND the Klan (*gasp* WHAT?!?) in their original intent. The Klan originally wasn't a racist terror group and the Panthers weren't originally anti capitalist. Also, I can't deny the Panthers their desire for wanting guns. Originally, the Klan wanted to protect Southern heritage. Then, pardon the term, things went south. When the Klan got bad, that's when the original founder, Nathan Bedford Forrest, DENOUNCED it and left, and warned people of it. I wouldn't be surprised if they had both been infiltrated by the Feds, the same way the police have. But yes, conservatives, it's gonna take a damn long time for the Panthers to catch up to the Klan in violence. Maybe not in stupidity, but violence. And yes, liberals, it's going to take the KKK and Westboro Baptist a long time to catch up to ISIS, regardless of what you think.

Sounds like someone needs to go to the library. There was an individual who had membership in the panthers who indeed committed hate crimes; Eldridge Cleaver. This was one warped person.
No rationally thinking person would purport that an entire group is represented by the actions of one. That would be like saying the Kennedys are all criminals because one of them was charged with murder. We know better! Jerry Falwell and Jim Baker committed adultery...does this mean all preachers have extramarital affairs?
The Black Panther Party was established to protect vulnerable people from the effects of institutionalized racism, brutality and other injustice that took place in urban areas during the civil rights movement.
America is a great country; ignorance is very unbecoming on any American.
It is notable that you are saying in your question you have a "use" for this information. A fifth grader could basically research this question. Jumping to conclusions is often characteristic of people who preach hatred. They spread propaganda but lack even the most basic of skills to do enough research to find valid and verifiable information. This practice perpetuates ignorance. Recommendation....review all the information before you label or make accusations.

They weren't exactly a hate group. They weren't formed explicitly to hate white people, although im sure there was much animosity about 'the man'. Guys from the ghetto came back from Vietnam trained for war and decided they weren't gonna take the crap from the police and the drug dealers and pimps and what not. They started a militia with the intention of protecting the community. Due to the times, drugs, post traumatic stress, etc. (what all veterans go through) things spiraled out of control. Some of their members went on to form the crips, so I guess you could consider that a hate group. Try blackpanthers.org or this site

I wish I knew some good sites to give you but I don't. To faoi if I tell you the Klan was not formed to hate blacks but to get revenge on the yankees for reconstruction would you then agree that the Klan is not a Hate Group?. didn't think so.

Interesting. You want information about them, but have already labeled them as a hate crime group.
You're just a racist.
