comment: Why won't AIU credits transfer - they're regionally accredited (for the time being)?
The question is how long.... not where. Why are all of the answers about where and not how long? Not that they are bad answers about where but they aren't the answer to the question. Do y'all do this on tests and wonder why you don't ace them?
An associates degree generally requires 60 semester hours of credit. If you complete 15 hours (normal full time load) per semester then it takes 4 semesters. If you attend somewhere that allows a full load in the summer session then it can be done in summer - fall - spring - summer. If you max the course load to 20 hours per semester, you can reduce time to 3 semesters - but this would be very hard to accomplish.
Bottom line - 1.5 - 2 years of full time study unless you are able to test out of a significant portion of the study or you have some transfer coming in.

You really have to be careful when using online schools. I mean you can get a degree as fast as one year, but will it be worth anything in the job market? Probably not.
Unless, you take online courses through a major University. LSU, for example, has a great online program and are accepted by nearly all other Universities..........The old saying is you get what you pay for. So do research before signing on at University of Phoenix and other schools of the like.

Ok, you need to understand alot of online colleges are for profit. Therefore, you need to check their accreditation.
Your associate degree will only help if your former college has the same accreditation as one you wish to attend. As well, many colleges online and offline have set requirements of courses that the studentt must complete.
{Avoid Phoenix International unless you like spending over $400 per credit hour | Kaplan has bad customer service}

Most likely the answer is yes, because most universities accept classes taken at the community college. I would call the university to make sure that this is correct, but I think you will be okay. Good luck with school! I hope this helps!

Do not go to an online school like AIU online. None of your credits will transfer anywhere!
