... because they get too caught up in the moment... and then some probably feel pressured into it even if they don't want to... and others, well many just want to "fit in" and it's shown in movies and it's just the stereotypical situation of young people losing their virginity... I guess they all need to stop being so cliche.

Because they're complete idiots that are caught up in the moment of making-out with whoever and think it's really cool because it's prom night. That's my reasoning behind it. Although I'm not one of those teenagers so I probably am giving a crappy answer.

They do so for the same reasons the did the week before & will do several times over the summer.

I would answer because they are looking for situations to remember, an unforgettable experience, but I personally never tried.

Some feel that it is owed due to the amount of money that the boy spends.
