from what i get so far, until everyone believes and bows to our beliefs, we will stay at war!!!
and even if we defeat them were still gonna be at war , and he knows where this terrorist guy is at and what hes thinkin and doin!!!
so a permanent war with everyone is the only way to stop terrorrism!!!

i'm no bush supporter and feel that bush broke new ground with his 'stupidity and destroy any chance the republicans will ever have' agenda.
bush actually said that we should not have left vietnam.
yep.
bush thinks we cut and run from vietnam.
he also thinks that the war in iraq is all about 9/11.
this is a desperate and very very very very stupid man.
time to take impeachment off the table - for the sake and safety of the american people...

The Democrats like to compare the two wars....so...
When the US pulled out of Vietnam, South Vietnam was beginning to get a head of North Vietnam... The South was able to hold back the North for a short time but without American support they were taken over . the result was millions of South Vietnamese were put into concentration camps sold into slavery or tortured than murdered.. In Cambodia over four million were slaughtered.. He doesn't want this same result for the Iraqi population..... I guess there are a few similarities in the fact that the surge in Iraq is working,South Vietnam was getting the upper hand.. Both instances the Democrats want us to tuck tail and run.. We did in Vietnam.. Good thing ol' Ho Chi Minh didn't have nukes... Iran is close to getting them..

He was insisting that pulling out of Iraq will be as disasterous as pulling out of Vietnam, which is true, whether people like you want to face it or not. What he DIDN'T mention, is that it was just as disasterous as when we left Lebanon and Somalia. Pulling our troops out of all these places just made it easier for our enemies to kill whoever they pleased, a lesson learned regarding Czechoslovakia in 1938, but denied in Indochina, the Middle East and the Horn of Africa. America was proven RIGHT about Vietnam, and 32 years after Saigon fell, the so-called "peace movement" still hasn't caught on. At least Republicans of the 1940's learned their lessons from their mistaken isolationism during the 1930's.

If you know he gave a speech, why are you asking us what it was about, did you not understand? You can most likely find a copy on line if you need to read it, or re-read it.
Give the guy a break would you!

synopsis: he said that history teaches us the danger of premature withdrawal. it costs lives and betrays those who worked hard for democracy.
i am happy to help you since it appears that you were the one who weren't paying attention.

I KNEW FROM THE UPPERCASE LETTERS and overuse of puncuation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that there would be no intelligent discourse on this thread.
I'd rather not contribute any, it would be wasted here.
