It's still going to be either Phoenix or San Antonio. Whichever team that makes it out of the West will crush the East. Boston is not ready yet even though they have the big 3, plus they have no bench. Dallas has suddenly become choke city. Chicago has a well-balance team but the lack of a post presence will continue to haunt them in the playoffs. Cleveland is not going to win a championship until they find LeBron a reliable # 2 go-to player. Detroit is a team fading into mediocre even with their fab 4 lineup. Miami will have a hard time finding healthy bodies to play with their aging lineup. New York has scorers but no defense. Denver and New Orleans could surprise teams but do they have what it takes to beat the big dogs remains to be seen. Houston and Utah will continue to be mediocre teams.

The Dallas Mavericks will be the best team this year. They are deep, versatile, and talented. And they have the reigning MVP. They were the best team last year before the playoffs. I think they can not only repeat this year but also make some noise in the playoffs too. Barring injuries, I think they can win it all this year. They have the talent, depth, and experience. All they need is the mental toughness and not choke.

Itz between the spurs, suns, denver, and possibly the celtics...I say spurs cuz whether u love em or hate em...they always be 1 of the best...I say suns cuz they come just short every year & maybe with grant hill things will change...I say Denver cuz datz my team & of course becuz of melo & A.I...they will play the entire year 2 gether & that could take them far...as long as dat d-fence is better...& finally boston because of there star power...Kg, ray, & "the truth" in paul pierce...one of the best power fowards of all-time, 1 of the best 3 point shooters in nba history...& the leader who is a great, consistent, & overall good player...dey might be a problem!!!...

I like Cleveland, but I feel they play backwards, they should try to set LeBron up, not give him the ball and say do something, Boston will be interesting, and I think Atlanta will suprise people, but most of all I think Pheonix Will be the best because the crooked ref is gone.

Phoenix. They have the talent, skill and experience to make them the force of the west. Their si no doubt that they are a major contender but what separates them from the rest is that they have the ability to outslug Dallas, and play San Antonio on equal footing in defense. With Amare anchoring the middle and Nash leading the perimeter game and Marion doing all the little things for at least one more year they are my favorite to win it all this year.

watch out for boston. their bench is going to be deeper with the addition of posey and house.. im pretty sure that ainge would get a legit rebounder at the 5... you just cant count them out...in the east, its going to be a toss-up between boston and cleveland.. detroit is self-destucting,(didn't you watch the playoffs??) in the west, i'll go for the mavs or phoenix... san antonio's bench is too old, unless they are going to add some young guns, you just can't see them go further than the semis.

when you say b-ball are you speaking of baseball or basketball? If basketball, (slang - roundball) then I'm thinking SA Spurs again, they will once again be tough to beat. (That's hard for a die -hard Pistons fan to say). If you mean baseball then I would go with Boston Red Sox or LA Angels, but definitely an American league team. (GO TIGERS!)
