Ok well my school is doing Oklahoma this year for its musical and I am way excited!
I know that being a freshman it isn't likely that I'd get a big speaking/singing role. But still I would love to have the best audition I could so that the theatre director will notice and deeply consider me for next year and I am hoping to atleast get called back this year. Now I do have an advantage over some other ppl w/ experience of 2 musicals this past year for a theatre troupe close to where I live. I've been called back for both of those musicals but never got the part. so just any tips in general about how i can stand out at the audition would be great.

Also if by any reason anyone thinks I have a chance, I'd like to get ideas about what would be good for auditioning for Ado Annie (this audition is a walk in where they teach you some songs, have you read a bit, and start to teach you a dance no.)

Thanks!

So the way you described it, I'm guessing you are not being asked to have your own material? I would make absolutely certain first. Ask someone who has done shows with this director at this school and make sure this is the way he/she has always done things. Just to be safe, you should ALWAYS have songs and monologues in your repertoire that you can pull out should anyone ever ask.

Start by becoming as familiar as you can with the score and the story. Even though you want Ado Annie, make sure you know all the female roles because you could be called back for Laurey or something else and you don't want to be so immersed in Ado Annie that you have no clue who anyone else is. Like you said, as a freshman you may not have a shot so be familiar with all the roles but that doesn't mean you shouldn't GO FOR IT!

Go to these sites and look up the show:
www.musicaltheatreaudition.com
www.stageagent.com

AND here's a link to the full libretto:

Also, if you need a visual, watch the film. Just be careful not to emulate the performances. Do your own thing.

It became the 1st coach the place the songs and dances carried over from the communication. They became area of the character. until now the action could provide up whilst a song became sung. In Oklahoma, the song (songs and dances) pass in the present day out of the communication -- putting the temper or tone of the characters or action. to illustrate, Curly could have tried to candy communicate Jud into killing himself, as is carried out interior the unique play... besides the shown fact that that is a lot deeper with the song "undesirable Jud is ineffective"
