Well dude, you haven't experienced the impact of the silent majority of Americans, come election time. There are thousands, upon thousands of concerned Americans who will not allow this country to be put in the hands of some scheming, lying opportunist who wouldn't have a clue on how to defend this country, in the event of hostilities.
Let Obama, Billary, and Edwards keep shootin off their pie holes, because the voting public knows the three of them are completely oblivious on what they would do. when there are hostilities. We will have a Republican in office, because national security looms big with American people.

Well, as an Ohio resident (Dems came back BIG here in 2006 because of worthless Republicans) I do worry people could just vote another party into the White House thinking ANYTHING would be better than Bush (why Clinton or Obama would be anything but SCARY is beyond me but I digress).
I am still hopeful that things will turn around for Bush in the time from now until the 2008 election, if so I think the Republicans have a good chance.

All the candidates are currently serving the country in some capacity now. Their records of service are public record. What have any of them really done to prove themself a champion.
Voting for the Dems out of spite? People voted in the Dem majority in November 06 because everyone wants a change. We have not yet seen what we were promised. It is easy to be discouraged. I still believe that this country is capable of producing one terrific human every 4 years to guide us. I just don't know where they are hiding.

It looks like Hillary is probably a lock for the Dem's, so no I think it will cause a large voter turn out and make for an interesting election. I think in the end the fear of Hillary will steer the election away from the Dem's.

I hope not, but then.... They voted for Clinton TWICE and it was obvious what HE was.
They voted for Jimmy Carter over Gerald Ford. (Because of Nixon). WOW! We ALL payed a price for THAT one!
Lets face it, Bush is NOT a good President, so chances are, the WORST possible Socialist will get it.
The Left isn't bright enough to figure out that ALL their candidates want to install some version of an elitist Marxist/Socialist system in America. (I doubt if they even know or understand what Marxism is.)
Bush isn't much better with HIS version of a North American Union.
We need a TRUE American, TRUE Conservative who believes in Limited Government and limited government power.
Know one?
For now, I'm supporting Huckabee.

It is possible. The country is numb with the growing failure in Iraq to finish the job. Sadly the left has made a success for themselves out of failure - in large part due to their left wing media support.
Rudi needs to seperate himself from Bush and the Republican party enough to win. He of course needs to run to them right now to finish the primary victory; but if he gathers that he'll need to run to the center so that Billary runs to the extreme left and looks stupid (like they do). Then he can win if the right wing of the Republicans don't abandon him over differences (gun control and abortion).

To me, it seems that most voters are pretty skeptical of politicians and don't vote party lines despite what CNN polls say. Since the Democrats won the congress elections, I think the people will elect a Republican as president as a check in power and a stalemate in the Iraq issue since the Democrats haven't delivered what they promised. (surprize, surprize--the Democrats lie too).

I can only hope and pray that they don't, look at the selections of Democrats. I still will lean towards Republican, unless they all let me down in the next year.

If hillary clinton gets the nomination, the dems will lose most likly to fred thompson or rudy. The Republican field is week and full of bush backers... i wish McCain would have stood his ground as the Maverick and have him just know there will not be rove to compete with this time. The other 2 front runners for the dems Barack and John would be great presidents!
