i just got sims 2 pets today(i also have nightlife). i adopted a kitten over the phone and they brought him over. when i looked at him he didnt have a collar, and in the manual it said never to leave pets without a collar, becuase they might run away. i have no i dea, how to buy 1. i even went to a store downtown to try to find if they sold them there, but they dont. how do i get a collar 4 him??

just regular stores won't have them. you need to go under the lots and houses bin and put in a pet store then go out and buy one. then you need to click on a mirror and "change appearance of...(name of kitty)" then select the collar you bought. i'm not sure if kittens can wear them though. could be that it needs to be an adult cat.

Easy! Don't worry. When ur first get pets, u must go to the neighborhood view and then go to Lots and Houses ( i think it's F3) then go to houses and u'll find sims 2 pets lots. they will be like Pepe's pets, The Kat house, the kim house... etc. u'll know they're from the sims 2 pets because u will see in the corner of the lot, a picture of a dog collar. once u put all the pets stores in the neighborhood, u can enter a lot and take a taxi to the pet store. at the pet store, click on the collar displaying rack and u can buy a collar for your kitty.

I believe your kittens needs to grow to an adult in order to wear a collar.
The collars can be purchased in the lots downtown. They must have the pet collar rack in order to buy them. If you don't have a pet store, you can always make one, or simply add a rack to any other store. Then have your sim and kitty go shopping, pick out a few collars. When she grows to an adult, have your sim change her appearance in the mirror. You'll get the options with the collars to pop up. Just select the collar you want, click ok, then she'll be wearing her collar.

The only time a pet will have a collar the first time you play with it is if you create it in create a sim and put a collar on it. You can buy collars at a pet shop (found in the lots and houses bin) and put them on the pet in the mirror. You can unlock other collars with special codes which you can find at:

There are several pet stores in the lots and houses bin. Place one of them in your neighborhood. You can visit the store and buy a cat collar but you won't be able to put it on until the kitten grows up (4 sim days). After it grows up go to the mirror and change your kitten's appearance.

Find a store that has pet supplies buy a collar. At home look in the mirror, pick change pets appearance, the collar you bought should be there. If you bought more than one, you can make a choice of what color you want.

you need to find a pet store, if you cant find one in the neighbour hood, you should be able to place one in the game from the premade lots.
or you could make one yourself
