It is way past time for everyone to stop pointing fingers and learn to get along. It isn't as if the country needs to be divided, we are adults, we should be able to accept that everyone won't agree on everything, but learn to adjust and accept that.
There is nothing more juvenile than seeing grown adults blame others, and do it about everything.
They are all over paid, under worked, and most likely do not have what it takes to fit into the real world of the working force.
Just my humble opinion.

Politicians only care about:
1). their own personal wealth and power; and
2). Party wealth and power.
They are the ones benefiting from their war in Iraq.
They are the ones benefiting from illegal immigration.
They are the ones benefiting from higher gas prices.
They are the ones benefiting from the healthcare system.
Is it coincidence that they are the only ones with the power to affect these things, and these are things that put money in their pockets?

Yeah, things are pretty bad when ‘political gridlock’ is the best that can be hoped for.
Neither Party is fit to have control of both the Executive and Legislative branches. If the Democratic Party had controlled Congress from 2001-2004, we would not be in Iraq now; and every person in the world would be better off for it.

Both parties are in a sad shape; which is why "congress" has an 18% approval rating. It is however a long time until the elections and they have a solid history of making people forget they do nothing, they accomplish less and there are consequences to their actions. Will 2008 be different - I doubt it.

It's been that time for quite a while now. And some have stopped, but some others are more interested in making the other side look bad than they are about actually doing anything good.

They are so far apart these days I really wonder if that will ever happen. Unfortunately it will take the overwhelming majority of people in the US to vote these morons out of office and try to get some real people in who will fix things. I don't see that happening.

not really, the less things get done the more people regret the last election. democrats got power by promising change, now that they have it they don't have the fortitude to see there words in action.

I don't know what 5 y/o you are talking about, don't want to, no offense just, got enough to think about. But yes, they should do their jobs.
It's ironic the politicians say that the Iraqi government needs to learn how to compromise to get things done. Apparently for our government it is easier said than done.

what productive thing do you think that politicians can do?
better to have them tied up in their own infighting than have them being "productive"
