To respond to the people who answered my question before and said that 4 unexcused absences were enough to fire me....You have to take in consideration that this place employs a lot of people and expect you to clock in at 2:30 but not after 2:31. If you do then they count that as a half day unexcused absence. Try standing in line and fighting through a crowd to make sure you clock in within 60 seconds!

Please don't confuse ethics with legality. I believe we all agree that the termination was unethical. But, if you're in a right-to-work state, companies can fire you without reason.
