The first thing you should do to tackle this equation is to determine the number of people that will come to the restaurant.

5 Tables. 3 of which seat 4 people. 12 people so far. The 2 others seat 2 people. 16 people total.

There are to be 3 parties in each table, therefore we can deduce that there will be three times the people. 3 * 16 = 48.

So, if each person tips a maximum of 2.50, we multiply the total number by 2.50. 48 * 2.50 = 120.
We must also calculate the minimum that he will get. 48 * 2.00 = 96.

Then we can take an estimate through the average.
120 + 96 = 216 / 2 = 108 dollars. That is Daniel's estimated income from tips in a night.

It says estimate. He can seat 16 people at one time. He can seat 3 groups, so this is about 50 people a night. He can average a little more than $2 per person so I estimate $120.

three tables that seat four people times three parties at each table each night equals 36 people.

two tables that seat two people times three parties at each table each night equals 12 people.

36 people plus 12 people equals 48 people.

48 people at two dollars tip per person equals 96 dollars.

at two dollars fifty cents per person equals 120 dollars.

My estimate would be the midpoint or 108 dollars.

Weeell, I dont like doing peoples homework for them, but this is easy.
(3*4) + (2*2) = 16 ... then 16 * 3 = 48.
48 * $2 = 96
48 * $2.5 = 120
Estimate between 96 and 120 dollars a night.
