Somehow, maybe i hit an alt (plus) something, and changed what prints when i hit the upper case special character keys.
Like upper case 8 should print an asterik *, right, .........but it does not. I have to hit the upper case ], to get an asterik.
A lot of keys are messed up, but only in the upper case mode.
But I just noticed that the ] key prints a plus sign +, when in the lower case mode. Notice in my first sentence, I could not type alt +, cause i could not find the + key. aha!
Actually, i still can not find the apostrophe key, that is why I have typed (above): could not, does not, and just now, that is !!
Normally, i would have abbreviated those words.
Oh, another hint, this only applies when i am on the internet, like NOW and in e-mail and it is driving me crazy.
Does not happen in Word or Notepad .
HELP ME (i used to be a good typist)

Could it be a virus? You will need to run full anti-virus/spyware scan and clean your registry. I recommend you use these programs (they are free).

I recommend you use these programs (they are free).

1) AVG Free anti-virus

2) Ad-aware spyware remover

3) Spybot - Search and Destroy spyware remover

4) Advanced WindowsCare Personal

5) CCleaner - registry and privacy cleaner

Running these programs in Safe Mode (Tap F8 after powering on the computer and choose to boot to Safe Mode) can be more effective.

So if a character is uppercase (not in the range of the lower case character codes) then all that happens is a simple numerical compersion, and then move on to the next character. If the character is lower case then we still do the numerical compersion, and also perform an addition (which includes two reads, and a mathematical operation), and write a value to memory. So next time you have a choice to either convert a string to upper case or lower case stop for a second and think about the string. In most cases it will make sense to convert to lower case. In some cases such as with acronyms it makes more sense to use upper case. The performance gains from this probably isn't something worth checking all your existing code for, but is something to keep in mind for the future. On Windows, the Alt key functions as a modifier like the shift key. To make special characters, hold down the Alt key and type in the numbers from the numeric keypad.
