I See you have differing opinions here. First of all the term coin is even in question. Back around 1200 BC or earlier some one in china started using cowrie shells to pay for things. Cowrie shells being very scarce in China. The someone came up with the idea to carve cowrie shells out of bone then metal like bronze. On the bronze ones they put symbols, was that a denomination or who made them, no one really knows. They still were not round like coins of today. Then came the knife and spade money with the names of rulers or the area. China was far from being one country. I guess trading these heavy items back and forth became a problem so round coins showed up some books say around 950 BC but I am not so sure. Others say 450-350 BC in China and earlier in Lydia now part of Turkey was first in 650 BC or so. You will find that a book written by the Chinese gives earlier dates then one written by a European or an American. Each has their own view and it is far from subjective. Lets just say that the first coins and we will use the modern definition either started in China or in Lydia. Even though the Greeks made some real nice pieces of art on their coins they were not the fist and China did more trade than they did.

Why were coins invented?
In about 700 B.C. the Chinese started to make simple metal coins. The Lydians (from Turkey) were the first to make silver into coins, with the Romans and Greeks following not far behind. Coins made from precious metals were weighed and the value of each one was stamped on it. People had confidence in the new coins because they knew they were valuable.

This answer is debatable all through history. The popular belief is that it started in China. But, the idea of having several different denominations, and usable throughout entire areas, were the Greeks. Because they had so much trade passing through, they're coins were well accepted throughout the known world.

In binary options you will have the possibility to predict the movement of various assets such as stocks, currency pairs, commodities and indices. Learn how you can make money trading binary options https://tr.im/NTlHt
An option has only two outcomes (hence the name “binary” options). This is because the value of an asset can only go up or down during a given time frame. Your task will be to predict if the value of an asset with either go up or down during a certain amount of time.
