But I thought in the Bible it says to "Be like little children to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven?"

Does this mean to act like them also?

Crap, if not, I think I misinterpreted it.

it shows that:

1. You are very immature
2. where you are suppose to think before talking, you do otherwise.
3. that you are still crawling while your mates are running. that you are not living up to expectation.
4. that you still ask for 'whatever' from your parents when you are suppose to be making your money and helping them out. in other words, that you are still very dependent on people - to feed, to make decisions and the likes.
5. that you thinking faculty is very low. you still think about breastmilk when others are eating solid foods.

invariably, what all these connote is that you are still VERY IMMATURE and my dear, as an adult, THAT IS A VERY BIG INSULT!!!!

Children usually trust their parents for guidance and I think this is the meaning in that Biblical phrase. But, usually, when one adult says that to another, it is an insult, insinuating that he is acting in a juvenile manner.

However, if you are entertaining a few kids and play a Children's game with them and are known for your impish pranks, you might be considered just a "great big kid," and that would be a compliment.

If it was said in anger...yes, my guess is that it's an insult. On the other hand, you may be a very sweet adult that has a childlike way about you...maybe an innocence about you that was displayed just before the comment was issued.
In the Bible, I believe it is referring to the pureness, innocence, sweetness, etc, of a child. Either way...it may be seen as a lesson to be learned. Use it wisely.

It is an insult. As for the Bible thing. I think it means not to over-analyze things. We as adults need logic. Every preacher I know, basically, says we should just shut up and listen to God.

It's neither. I think most people don't understand that statement. If you cut the pie before your wife tells you to, you hide like a kid so you don't get in trouble but it doesn't mean you're acting childish, you're just trying to avoid the scolding she's going to give you. I think everyone has a little child play in them it's that part of you that makes you fun.

Generally an insult; but if they mean "childlike" it could be taken as a compliment.
