I was thinking about getting my nose pierced on the left side. I was just wondering what it means........TY.........BB

I am a Solitary. I am not a follower....I haven't pierced my nose yet!..Who knows I may or may not.......TY...BB

I would do it on the left side as to me as a solitary Wiccan the left symbolizes the Goddess during ritual. I am straight and really it is more a symbol of what ever the person who has it done believes. Generally though I have no idea if it has any kind of universal meaning or not. I wear my WIccan rings on my left hand and any tattoos I have are on the left side as well. They are all symbols of my love for the Goddess. i don't wear jewelry just because it looks good but each piece I wear symbolizes something with my faith.

When I had my nose pierced when I was younger, I didnt even realize there was a gay side for nose piercings. Oh well. Mine was on the right side but I noticed most people had it on the left side. Not sure what message I was sending. It hurts like hell getting it done I have to say.

Back in the day a straight person wanting to get a piercing would have known the phrase "left is right, right is wrong" indicating that piercing the right side was a sign of a non-straight person.
These days, like someone above me said, it's all fair game.

Well..not saying this is true the story changes every day...but some people say if u get ur ear or nose pierced on the left that ur gay or Lez.. but it changes to right all the time

Means that you are living in the stone age. Only people that crave attention do things to damage their bodies. Besides it looks awful. Hope you are not planning to go working where the public will see this kind of spectacle. Looks gross walking around with snot like things hanging our of your nose. Don't do it. Please!
