You're right... with the money you've paid upfront, the LEAST she could do is pay half the rent.

Bottom line is: if you friend has no money even if you want her to pay more, definitely won't make a difference would it.
In a rental situation you do pay for the size that will be one's space. If you are putting the deposit and she agrees to pay back half that then she is putting half (even though is future). Are u helping your friend or are you looking to do business? You can help her and move own or you can clearly say this is a business deal, I'll pay now but you will have to pay me with interest later. Just both be clear, before you enter in anything together, don't ruing the friendship over miscommunication.
Now, if you are looking to rent and putting $1900 down with that you could own, and have the rent money be applied to a home, it makes a better asset for you,and you won't loose your rent money to the air.
Hit me up if u want more info I don't want to fill the page. :0)

Usually if people are sharing a house or apartment, each party pays an equal amount of rent. It's only fair to each person, no matter the size of your individual rooms.
Your actual room and walk-in closet/bathroom do not affect the rent. The rent is a fixed amount.
I could see why she may want you to pay more for various utilities (unless those are included in the rent, then maybe everything is a different story), since you'd likely need more heat and use more hot water.
Also, since you are being such a great friend, her attitude towards you is a bit retarded. No offense to your friend, but since you're helping out as much as you are, the least she could do is suck it up and do what everyone else does. And that's pay the same amount of rent as the rest of the people they live with.

At this point I would say don't sign the lease. She sounds like a looser on all fronts. No money, no job, no prospects, no respect, and no appreciation for you being willing to take a chance on her.
If by some chance you are dumb enough to go ahead get a seperate signed agreement for what you expect from her. If you don't you can expect that she will walk within 2 months and leave you holding the entire bag. I normally wouldn't say "I TOLD YOU SO", but in this case I will.pp

dont sign.. she needs a job.. could you actually afford to pay for the rent every month on your own? cause if your late to many times it will look bad on you, and you could get kicked out.. i dont' think it's a good idea at all moving in with someone who doesn't have a job.. and i would say that she might get a little cheaper price if she did get the short end of the stick on the bedrooms.. maybe 45%, you 55% on rent only....but i wouldn't do it unless she will for sure have her part of the rent and other bills that come along with renting.. good luck!

i think she's being rude and audacious to expect you to pay more rent after you covered her other expenses.
why in the world are you entering a financial agreement with someone with bad credit, no job and no cosigner? you realize that when she can't pay her rent, you'll be responsible and your credit will suffer?
don't mistake friendship for financial responsibility. do not sign that lease with her...ever!

Well, if he pays you for half of the deposit then you should pay more.
But since you put down the 1900 and she put down nothing, you already paid more.
But having your own bathroom and the bigger room is the better room, so you should pay more, one way or another.

Call us back once you find out what really happens....and it ain't gonna be pretty. If you think you're out of pocket some money now, you ain't seen nothing yet. Don't take this wrong my friend, but you must have something written on your forehead to make this kind of mistake. Remember, Friend...yes......roommate...no. Don't confuse the two.

Are you sure you want a roommate like that? Think about how you're going to fight over rent later on...
