Pepto, Tums, Nexium, Imodium, all medications like that, and then allot more are ok to take while on the pill. The only one you have to be careful with is antibiotics. If you take them, while on the pill, the risk of pregnancy is very high, so use condoms if you ever have to take antibiotics.

YES, it can. If you took the pill and threw up shortly after, it may have come up if it was not fully dissolved and absorbed. I would use a backup method for the next week just to be sure. I am also a bit offended at how people seem to be appalled that someone is on pills at 17. Quite a few kids are having sex far before 17! At least SHE is being responsible about it! So responsible, in fact, that she wants to make sure she is taking them correctly! Good for you to think of asking this. :) And believer, what she needs is some advice about her situation, not someone preaching at her. The words "some females" you chose are also odd and out of place- it is like you are referring to us as some foreign species. There is nothing wrong with a woman being on the pill. I am married and on the pill, and my husband and I will choose when to have kids so we can give them a good life.

Yes, it's fine. I am on the pill and take nexium and pepcid daily for bad acid reflux. It's fine, as my doctors know all the meds I take. Antibiotics are the most common meds that can interfere with how effective birth control is. And remember, when in doubt, call your pharmacist and they'll be able to let you know if there are any interactions with medications.
