For one thing, I hear they are still available on line, even though they were recalled from retail shelves. And they may show up in second-hand stores sooner or later. So be sure you get a list of the ones that were recalled, and be very, very careful when you buy.
As to their coming from China, I wouldn't put it past them to have done it intentionally, if that was your question. Probably it was just carelessness, but who knows?

I think the fact that they were shipped over here around last christmas, and this info just surfaced to the general public is astonishing. im pregnant, so Im not a mom YET but I would be soooooooo ticked off if I bought any of those toys for my kids and found out 6 months later they were potentially toxic. inexcusable

Its scary!! I am now paranoid to buy my kids any fisher proce toys or mattel toys. I mean what has the world come to when you have to have your toys tested before your child can play with them? With Xmas coming soon, whats next? Recall on Hot Wheels? Barbies? Its only a matter of time. Enough of this outbasing crap. Bring the factories home and make more jobs for north americans!

I'm lucky none of my daughters toys are on the list. But I'm so shocked that they actually allowed them to be produced in the first place let alone shipped over hear.
