at work i managed to get my hands on someone's belongings. I maliciously stole their wallet and a few other items laying around. I dont get much respect from the people I work with and something came over me. I took the belongings and hid them on me then watched as the person frantically lost it and started throwing a fit almost to the point of getting teary eyed. In my mind I was gloating, i even consoled them and said I'll get the guy who did this. What's wrong with me?

Once in a blue moon I'll look at the cards from the wallet and I think to myself. 'I got you'

You are suffering from jealousy and inferiority complex.
Gloating is a way to over the inferiority complex.
Just return the wallet and say that you found it some where.
Form now on, do not steal any thing that does not belong to you.
If you can get more training and education, try that and enrich your self with the wealth of higher self -esteem.
Many people think of these feelings and many people among them steal. The meaning of all this is to steal some self-esteem from others.
You are very courageous to write about it.
So I do see a bright future for you.

Please find a way to return the wallet. This will be very hard but maybe send it to his address so he won't know connect it with you. This will be very hard.

If you don't return the wallet, you'll be ridden with guilt.

If you are still gloating when that person is teary-eyed, then perhaps you can consult a psychiatrist. This could be worse.

Secretly return the wallet and get some help. Some day someone will find out what you did and you'll get even less respect in jail.Return it before it comes back to bite you in the butt.

You need to read the bible or a good book that helps explain your behavior. Next time you go to work get their early, and put the stuff back, and if the people can't give you respect their not worth trying to earn the respect. Was it worth stealing that and trying to earn respect, yet seeing someone almost cry ?

that was mean. you should return the wallet or at least put it somewhere where they will find it. stealing is wrong even if the people at work don't treat you right. sounds like you have serious passive agressive anger issues.

Honestly I think that is funny. People do stupid things out of anger. I know I have. Just put it in plain sit for the person to see, no one needs to know. I've learned from my mistakes so no worries....
