My older sister is married but they can't support having children right now. She was using birth control but of course abstinence is the only thing that is 100% to prevent pregnancy. So she stopped having sex with her husband. He is now going to file for divorce because they haven't had sex in 3 months!!!!!!!!!!! What is she supposed to do?

You guys don't understand?? Her husband does not believe in abortion. So she told him unless he understood that as a viable option she would refrain.

File on the Pope as co-respondent to the divorce.
Let HIM pay the fees, costs and separate maintenance.
Like the old Italian woman said to the priest "Hey! You no playa the game, you no makea the rules!"

So, her husband has to change his stance on abortion so that they can use that as birth control? Is that what you're saying?
Why not go with the 99.98% reliability of properly used birth control before thinking about the extreme of needing to decide to have an abortion?
They could always give the potential but very unlikely child up for adoption, too, right?

have sex with her husband. if that's his only concern, and everything would be right as rain again, then tell her to make love to her husband. not only that, but birth control is 99.9% effective if taken correctly. if she is concerned after that, then she could avoid having sex during the four middle days of her cycle, as this is when she would be most fertile. she should also do as much research as she can. she would find that if she is on birth control, and she avoided her ovulation period, he chances of getting pregnant would be about nil.
I believe sex is an integral part of a relationship, especially marriage. it is the bonding time, when you remind each other that you're still attracted, you still desire him, and your sister should not withhold this intimate time from her husband. should she choose to continue not having sex with her husband, she should investigate her other options to perform her "sexual duty" but do not put her at risk for getting pregnant. I won't go into details cause we're all adults, or at least I assume we are, and she should definitely know what I'm talking about. married men want sex, or some form thereof, and because she is afraid of getting pregnant, she is depriving him of his desires. she should really talk to him about what is going on. and then she should survey her options, talk to her doctor, and make a decision. it's gonna either be him or not. she doesn't have to risk having children to have sex with her husband. and a long talk with a doctor would allay her fears of birth control. good luck to her in her decision! if she has any more questions, she can email or IM me at my screenname.

I don't think we should kill our children either. At the same time sex is a important part of marriage. She should sit down with her husband and work this out. Like someone said there are other ways to enjoy each other. there are other things to be done with a child besides murder, adoption is life. All you can do is maybe try to explain to your sister that early withdraw before *** well you know what I mean is safe and satisfying.

Although contraceptive pills aren't 100%, its still HIGHLY UNLIKELY she would get pregnant. The abstinance scheme is pretty ridiculous, is she planning to stay abstinant for years to come? Well, I hope that goes well for her. As for her husband it's kind of expected he as a man would leave. Men are strange creatures. To them a good wife screws them everyday. If they had that one thing, they wouldnt care less if the house was a mess and they had a PB&J sandwich for dinner every night.

The Pill may not be 100% effective, but it is 99.9%, and it is asinine to abstain from sex to pick up that last 0.1%. She should get herself to a gynecologist, and get a prescription for whatever pregnancy control will fit best, and then make a point of enticing her husband into the sack.

So, are you saying she's pregnant? She should use both a condom and birth control, so the sperm never gets near her.
If she is pregnant, she can put the child up for adoption, or keep it and take care of the mistake she made.

Don't be ridiculous. Women on the pill don't get pregnant. In any case, there's plenty of fun sexual activity to share that doesn't involve risking pregnancy. I don't believe this is a genuine situation.

When a man or woman refuses their spouse intimacy, it is a deal-breaker!! Birth control methods are very safe if used properly and consistency. How about BOTH of them using birth control methods.
