I know it's an odd question, but as a non-biological man myself, I don't have that "insider information" and I'm curious about what makes a guy feel like or KNOW he's a man?

Hmm..maybe I really AM a man then. I very much have a "don't take BS" attitude. I do stand to pee, and I'm a protector to those I care about, and I love using my brain.

It's just who I am. That's who I identify as.

Beating up on a guy who started up with me, or even more, one of my friends. Dominating and prevailing in a situation when I know I am right. Staring at a woman who is giving me a dirty look until SHE feels guilty. Getting reprimanded in a sharp, but NOT overwhelming way by another man when I know I'm wrong. "Packing" (like dog packing) or "Platooning" (like in the army --- the female form of this is "trooping' as in how female apes "troop" through the forest together on scavenging hunts.) Solving a big roadblock at work; doing something that significantly raises ones level of independence.
These things created some good activity in the testicles. The opposite (the actual shrinking of the testicles) occurs within seconds after a defeat or a submission to a more dangerous male.
P.S. There are other sources of "maleness" in the body other than the testicles. I don't know exactly how to access them, but I will reflect upon the matter for you. Although these are weaker sources, they are NOT insignificant. I want to assure you that you already personally have MORE "malensess" then a whole group of natural males out there.

Ah, sometimes you get great senses of pride if you hear someone doing something great. I have no idea if I can give you an example unfortunatly. But growing up, hearing my dad go on huge rants about people who deserved it, really makes me feel like a man. Like the no BS attitude is great.

I want to answer this question but it's harder then I thought. I guess I feel like a man all the time in everything I do. I have a manly job (fire dept) manly hobbies I live on a ranch and I drive a truck. Does that help?

When I get to use my brain every once in a while.

Bringing home the bacon.

Being needed and loved by someone who loves me back.
