Because tickets for a concert say they go on sale at 12:00pm but i can never remember if that is at noon or midnight?
Please help me I am normally not this stupid!

12 pm is noon and the start of the afternoon
12 am is midnight

That would be noon (seems rather late; most places start selling tickets at 9 am or 10 am)

12pm = Noon.
It has become common practice in the United States to designate 12:00 p.m. as noon and 12:00 a.m. as midnight.

always remember: 12:00 AM is MIDNIGHT and starts the new day. 12:00 PM is NOON and starts the afternoon.

12:00 PM indicates noon. PM means day. AM means night.
