I'll tell you this.....

You get PAID a hell of a lot more for knowing everything on a very narrow subject than you EVER will by knowing a little bit of everything.

Besides - no one knows EVERYTHING - not even just a little bit.

Its good to be wellrounded, but in the business world the big $$ goes to those with post-secondary graduate degrees. Those people find a very narrow subject and become experts at it.

I think knowing something, one thing, really well is an asset because if you look at great painters, musicians, mathematicians, philosophers,etc.... the passion of knowing one thing that drives you makes you excel in that field.
