She is living with a man and is very self sufficient, but he is a sucker when it comes to her manipulative ways. He is not far from retirement and doesn't even have a pension built up yet.
I don't think he is really thinking this through and I think he is going to deplete his savings because of this. How can I prevent him being taken advantage of in this way and who can I talk to about it?

He really needs to sit down and think about planning for his own future... even better if it is with a financial planner. Houw about giving him a gift certificate for an hour of consulting with a financial/retirement planner? That may be the wake-up call he really needs.

There are a lot of instances where a brat will do their best to beat the parents out of every dime. I hope he doesn't allow this. The brat will keep coming back for more and more. She'll be eating filet mignon and he will be stuck with mac-n-cheese if she gets her way.

I can see him pitching in a couple grand to help with a down payment if he can afford it... but this one is beyond that. Besides, there are plenty of no-down loans out there.

That "man" of hers needs to come up with the money.
