Okay, so my boyfriend is a huge Raiders fan. And no, he's never been to prison. The thing is, it's so confusing hearing my dad (also a Raiders fan) and him talk about stuff during a game. I really want to get in on it, I'm just not sure how. I know some football, but not a lot about the NFL teams. Could someone explain to me some basic Raider stuff and possibly a little bit more? Thank you so much!

Asking a Raiders question here will probably get you alot of stupid answers. If your really interested in the Raiders try going to www.raidernation.com it has highlights of last year and stories from last year. The best way to learn more about any team you want to follow is reading the stories written bout them and watching the games in my opinion.

The Raiders might, now they just might, have a chance to win if Al Davis up and sells the team. But he won't! So they'll
have to wait until he dies, and someone inherits the team.
Who is Al Davis you ask? The team owner and soul reason WHY they stink!!!
What can I say about an owner who gets players that are well past their prime (i.e. Dante Culpepper & Warren Sapp)
I don't think that Jamarcas Russell will see the light of day!
And speaking of Quarter back, when Micheal Vick gets out of prison, HE WILL BE THE STARTING FOR THE RAIDERS!
However, that's only if Al Davis is still alive when Micheal Vick
gets out!
But what do I know, I'm a Chargers fan. GO BOLTS!!!

In addition to the two web site already mentioned, you can go to silverandblack.com this is the weekly raider paper during the football season and a few issues in the off season. Also thier are other raider web sites just type in raiders and do a search.

Fan from the late 60s.
they used to take the players that broke rules and maybe society rules and were a team of reclamation projects.
they jelled as a team and would win.
they would also bend the rules on the field and off.
that is part of raider nation

Most all the players are thugs, that is Al Davis' method of operation. Oakland is well known as being the dirtiest, cheap shot team in AFL-NFL history. They win at all, yes all costs. Right now, Oakland is horrible.

the quarter back is: Daunte culpepper and josh mccown(maybe Jamarcus russell in ayear.)
the running back is: lamont jordan
the widereceivers are: jerry porter, ronald curry, and mike williams
the best players though are warren sapp, derrick burgess, nhandi asoghuna, and michael huff. the defense is playoff material.
