Yes, she will be fine. My mom has worked with people who have swallowed spirals off of notebooks and have lived.

Unless it was a really large amount it shouldn't be a problem. Paper will break down and pass through the digestive system as fiber. As far as the ink, again, unless it's a much larger amount than I would expect it'll cause no problems.

No, she'll be just fine. If paper dissolves in water, then it is very easy for the stomach to digest it. And as long as she didn't eat a whole lot of ink, she shoudn't be feeling sick or anything. But it would take a whole lot of ink to do that...

It wont so much be digested as completely dissolved by the gastric juices. Paper is no good against those juices. Unless it was a very large amount of paper, your friend wont be in any trouble. Not with a medical doctor anyhow. I hope she doesnt do this often.

Yes, the body will digest pretty much anything. The only thing to worry about is the ink.

your friend may be a little of center, but most paper will be digested. I worry about the ink however.

no worries
just tell her not to do it again if she can help it, or at least not on a regular basis, and not in large quantities. Paper is just not food or nutritious, ya know?
I've seen people eat small amounts of receipt paper, dust bunnies, and chew on pencils with graphite and live to tell about it.

We eat substances that are a lot worse than paper in our daily foods. I'm sure the straw paper was just defficated, and any minor chemicals in that paper were taken care of in your liver and lymphatic system. you will be fine, I wouldn't recommend implementing it into your regular diet though.

most paper is just wood or plant fibre.
Like someone had already said, it is the ink that could contain lead or other possible toxins.

the body can deal with these in small amounts, so should be fine.

Yeah, she'll be ok, because I used to eat papers and I'm still healthy. Well, I'm not saying that eating paper is healthy, but what can i say? it tastes good! so yeah, she'll be fine. Just tell her not to get too addicted though.
