As in why do they eat you? They're just hungry and looking for food...and if you're slow enough, your next.

How do you know that they are angry?
Have you asked them or been approached by an angry alligator?

Few are. I live in an area where there are quite a few, and most are quite timid and will flee when humans come near. It's the ones that don't that people worry about.

alligators arent angry they are just highly territorial apex predators

They are not angry unless you are faster than they are and escape their jaws. That annoys them. But even then, they have learned patience in 150 million years.

They are coldblooded creatures, who for the most part respond to heat, movement and release of adrenaline in prey. They bite out of an involuntary response to such--things which for the most part they cannot even see. This situation in the most tolerant of creatures is bound to cause anger.

They are predators and I don't think they get angry until attacked or someone messes with their nest and eggs.

alligators are NOT angry...

JUST HUNGRY

They only snap, to get their food ,
this is normal behavior for a reptile
