A 19 year old! They shouldn't have to ask their parents. At 19 they are an adult!

Its not a question of whether its ok for the parents to allow it. The 19yr old is now an adult and can do as he pleases in regards to trick or treating. I went trick or treating at 18 with my cousins (I dressed up and got candy) but I can tell you that if you do not dress up and expect candy, then forget it. Also, dont think that everyone will be nice to you... some people dont like handing out candy to older kids, especially those trick or treating alone (without an adult or younger kids)

Why would a 19 year old need permission from his parents to go trick or treating. He can do what he wants, even though 19 is a bit old for that sort of thing but whatever floats his boat.

A 19 year old is a legal adult and does not need his parent's permission to do anything. However, real men try to give more than they receive. If you are trustworthy, how about offering to babysit a younger child while he goes trick or treating, and in that way give something back while receiving?

Well if he has to ask permission and is 19 I am assuming that he still lives with yall. I have to say he most certainly is not going trick or treating..he is going to a party more then likely. If you think he will be safe then go for it. I'm not sure he will listen much if you tell him no however.

19 year old "boys" don't go trick or treating in my experience...
He's more likely going "partying" or "egging" or "cruising".
If the 19 year old boy is still living at home then he is subject to any rules of the house...so trick or treating is fine if that's what he wants to do...however, I'd still enforce a curfue for the sake of the other family members that will probably be trying to sleep when he comes home.

19 year olds are adults. They make their own desisions. And at 19, really you shouldnt be trick-or-treating... The candy-passer-outers dont want to give their candy a a teenager.. and an adult at that matter
