cut it right of. I am serious could they freeze it in case you change your mind at some point after all it is a big operation. It is also a hugh life change, and how would a man be able to go to the toilet, would he have a tube put in to let him urinate I don't understand men that want that done to them.

Nope. They cut if off and throw it away. It's not reversible, unfortunately. Here's how the surgery is done on newborns. On adults they don't use the clamp, though; it's freehand.

Some circumcised guys stretch it out, but that doesn't restore the nerve endings of the foreskin. Here's what's lost and what can be restored:

Some guys say that after circumcision urination can be painful. However, erections are much more painful that that for about two weeks.

You can check out the following link for risks of circumcision and some negative side effects (loss of sensitivity, skin bridges, etc) Also, there's links in there to government statistics, which show circumcision is losing popularity (the US is the last developed nation doing it to a significant number of newborns and it's as low as 14% in some states already).

Okay, well two things. First, a circumcision isn't the removal of the entire penis. Rather, it's just the removal of a piece of skin known as the foreskin, which covers the glans (head) of the penis. All males are born with a foreskin; however, for various reasons, both religious and cultural, the skin may be removed in a relative minority of guys in a circumcision. Removing the foreskin doesn't change the actual function of the penis (you still urinate normally, it still gets erect, etc...), just a little flap of skin. Foreskins are usually discarded, though they may be used for medical research (apparently they've started using they as eyelids for people who lose theirs in accidents...gross...), burried in religious ceremonies, etc... The foreskin cannot be reattached once removed, and it is impossible to "regrow" the foreskin (despite many reverse-circumcision methods where you're just stretching the skin of the shaft over the glans, but not replicating the actually nerves and cell types found in the foreskin.

If you live in the united states, and are a male, chances are you're actually circumcised. Since the end of World War II, a majority of males in the United States have been routinely circumcised at birth, with percentages varying from the high 90's (during the 1970's) to the current 68%. Asians (excluding Koreans and Philipinos), Latinos, and 1st generation European immigrants are less likely to circumcise than multigeneration white and african american communities.

The reasons for circumcision vary. Jews and Muslims usually do it for religious reasons. Most others do it out of customs, false impressions that it is the only way to improve penile hygiene, or simply on the advice of their pediatrician or obgyn. South Koreans and Philipinos both routinely circumcise for similar reasons, mainly because of the heavy direct influence of American soldiers stationed there for decades.

It depends what type of circumcison you have. You can choose how much of the foreskin they cut off.
They don't freeze the foreskin afterward, it is usually 'thrown away', or you can keep it (not sure why you'd want to though!).
Changing your mind doesn't come into it I'm afraid buddy - the operation is permament and irreversible.
The man can continue to urinate as normal, but it makes a difference to masturbation and sex. Whether this is a positive or a negative difference I'm not sure, but logic dictates that because the highly-sensitive helmet of the penis is no longer protected by the foreskin, it loses that sensitivity, causing a negative degradation of feeling during sex.

Most men don't have the choice as they grow up without foreskin.

Adult circumcisions are typically done for medical issues (as opposed to elective).

No, they cannot freeze it and reattach it.

You can still go to the bathroom just as when you had the foreskin. The glans (tip) of the penis isn't cut off; it's the extra skin that covers the glans.

Check out the source's pictures on the right hand side and you may understand.

They cut the foreskin off the head of the penis. Some people believe it hygenically better..others it is their religious practice like Jews, or I know alot of people who just continue to do it because they want the child to feel "normal" since alot of people have circumsized penis'. I doubt once the foreskin is removed it could ever be sewn back on. It doesnt affect the way a man urinates... your penis just doesn't have a turtleneck on anymore. It's basically personal preferance more than anything else. Parents make that decision and the kids live with it.

It means they chop the foreskin off, the part of skin that is part of the penis that covers the head of the penis. Check out the links at it will show you what they do and why it is not a good idea to get it done.

I don't get why anybody would want to get it done either! They don't freeze it and it's not reversible. In fact, I heard they actually sell baby foreskins. I have no idea if that was a myth or not.

Jews are required to be circumcised at 8 days old or something like that.

I believe Moslem's are circumcised also.

The foreskin must protect the glans of the penis and during circumcision it's trimmed off.

Circumcision is cutting off the foreskin. It is permanent, and is usually done to boys when they're babies, but it can be done on older boys or men if they choose. There usually isn't a need for a catheter (the tube for urinating); the babies just pee in diapers as normal and the older boys/men should be able to pee as normal as well- they just need to monitor the area to make sure it heals without getting infected.
Older boys or men may choose to have the procedure done for cultural or cosmetic reasons, or they may choose to be circumcised to reduce their risk of having the glans (tip) become irritated or infected. Frequent irritation and infection of the glans has been linked to increased risk of penile cancer.

it's not the whole penis they take off if thats what you mean, all they do is trim the foreskin off. do a search and check out a medical website or pictures to see what they do.
