My grandma once made a rum cake that was to die for. She is now in a nursing home. No one found her recipe book.So I haven't had it since.

There are too many sweets that I enjoy eating around Christmas time.

Among the store bought sweets, Lindt Chocolate Truffles, peanut M&Ms and chocolate covered almonds are some of my favorites.

While a recipe for chocolate covered, peanut butter balls we got off a box of Rice Krispie's years ago is also a yearly staple.

I have way too many favorites Christmas treats and always end up shedding on a few too many pounds around that time of year.

I don't think I really have a favorite, but I do love to taste and eat the different kinds of pies that are made for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Peppermint ice cream
and (you might think this is weird), but
I really like well made fruitcakes--preferably the dark fruitcakes. The Trappist monks in Oregon make a really good one.
