A little girl wrote this about her mum, which was very moving

Prayer

Dear Jesus

I heard daddy crying
He did not know
I was there

But I was
He was kneeling down
Like I am now
I heard him talking
To you

He asked you
If you could give him
Another chance

I think he wants you
To bring back
My Mummy

But I am not sure
If you heard him
Because
He was crying

That is why
I am at this grave
To pray as well
And see if she does
Come back

If you cannot
Hear me
I will wipe my eyes
Blow my nose
And speak clearly

And cry tomorrow
Instead

children are pure innocent, and thats why they can deal with their grief a whole lot better than we adults can.

as an adult you are riddled with guilt, regret, selfishness and hopes...and these are key factors when losing someone we love.

children are smarter than we give them credit for. they here and see everything that we might not think that they do. they cope with things better because they are not caught up in life like we are. they are so pure and they can see things that we cant see. the pome touched my heart but i feel like the dad should explain to the child the reason why her mommy cant come back and its not that god wont let her but he needs her right now and as hard as it may seem she is better off. he has to be strong for his daughter who thinks by prying that will bring her back. god sees, here, and feels all of our needs and wants but he does know best and we have to keep the faith that he is doing what he feels is right. i wish the family all the best and i do have them in my prayers. its not the end and life does go on and the hurt and pain will pass. but you will always remember her and that is good also.

this was very cute and i loved it but yes some of us do. its maybe just a few that can't maybe they have something they wanted to say or do before that person left and didn't have the chance that is the only reason there would be a problem. most who pass on are known to be ok and will be waiting at the end of the world and we'llo see all of them so take caer.

What a beautiful prayer. I think its because children are so innnocent and dont have all the bad experiences in life that jade their thinking.

If you think of children who have a terminal illness and their reaction to it as opposed to the parents and family who are thoroughly distraught.

Children see things in such a straightforward and innocent way, and can accept death more calmly, whether it is their own immenent death or death of friend/family member.

because children cannot articulate themselves well we assume that they are not grieving. they may be at a funeral playing with thier friends while mum/dad is lying in a coffin. that does not mean they are not grieving and many people who come to me for therapy are relieving unresolved grief from their childhoods. children are frightened by the extreme emotions displayed by adults and are hushed when they ask innocent questions. they therefore hide it all inside or make up fantasies about the dead person, or go off to play but its not because they do not feel grief. its because the adults in their lives are too self centered/ busy to sit with them and allow them to grieve in whatever way they wish and answer their questions

Simply like children cannot differenciate between remote control car and real BMW, they prefer enjoy with the RC cars,

but an adult know the effort he has to put it to get the same one, and in real he know he would never...
