at the party i seemed down/sad and it looked my sec. cousin might of wanted to cheer me up (hugging, telling me to stay at a certain spot0 but my other cousins didnt give a crap (their older than him, theyre 30, 26, and 30)but my mom didnt care and critized me very meanly and i cried. why?
keep in note her own mom kinda abadoned her and her grandma (rip) was left to take care of her.
my dad was not present at the party i was moody at the party not sad!

Seems like your Mom isn't good at showing her love. Maybe she feels she has to be mean to you because her mother abandoned her.
Try to forgive her for her actions.
Accept the love and affection from the people who are able to give it. Your second cousin sounds like a wonderful person.

Your mom just does not know how to react to you, whereas your cousin did. It is not that your cousin loves you more, but perhaps just that they are more comfortable dealing with emotions....
If I were you, once everything has "cooled down" with you and your mom, I would talk to her and let her know how she made you feel. Let her know that you understand that she is not super-comfortable with emotions, but that at least she could try to be more supportive in the future.

Be careful! It sounds like your cousin might want to do more than hug you.
