I am an ex miner and have been on several protests back in the 70's. Was used by the NUM to bring down the Heath government and then was sh*t on by Harold Wilson. Heath offered us 6.5%, Was on strike for 9 months and when Wilson was elected went back to work. He then gave us 5%. You could not make up a story like this, check the history books. What have Labour done for the working man, Precious little.

Protest are way of marking our disgust with the law , or situation we are in or some thing we disagree with .. but I have realized that protests are becoming a farce and a matter of getting media attention, some high talks and go home..

there is no followup actions after the protests ..

some protest result in to violent affair where innocent protesters are injured or damaged.

I joined a movement known as Displace Me, to protest our silence in a peace talk in Uganda when one senator's prescence could end this much sooner.
And one was finally assigned a few weeks ago. Truly worth the night spent in a cardboard hut.
