step 1. Get a simple "head shot". That's a black and white photo of you, just your face, no lower than shoulders. On the back, have your stats, height, weight, measurements, and contact information. Ladies should be 5'8", men, 6'0".
step 2. DO NOT go out and pay hundreds and thousands for glamour shots or full length photos, etc.... The head shot is your calling card. If you find work, you should be able to obtain photos of your work. If can obtain photos for free, fine. Just don't get robbed.
step 3. CHAPERONE. Since you are underage, it is extremely important to have an adult with you on go-sees, etc...Even once you become of age, an adult, it is good to have people around that you can trust who are either with you at all times or who you can contact if you're in a bind. There are predators out there who prey on young, new talent, and there are markets that you want no part of. Stay safe!!!!! See if you can read up on news stories about people in the modeling industry who have had to face the darker side of the industry, so you'll know how, when, where, why, and what to avoid.
step 4 RESEARCH: read about the modeling and fashion industry yourself. There are some great books out there that reveal and give you a behind the scenes look, or research the subject online. Remember, knowledge is power. The modeling and fashion industries move quickly. Find out when upcoming shows are in different cities throughout the world, what the annual schedules are, and at what venues (locations) that events are taking place. I remember finding and reading a great hard cover book (it was this big coffee table type book) that went into all this information.
step 5 GOOD LUCK!!! If you really have the talent (it's like they say, you either got it or you don't), and if you really like it, you should go for it!!! I hope you find a great career in modeling and high fashion!!!!

Do NOT pay money upfront to anyone claiming to be able to help you!!!! Say "no" to using their photographer, and please whatever you do -- don't get sucked into signing up for 'modeling classes'. You either have 'it' or you don't.
I was a casting director in Los Angeles and saw way too many pretty girls (and their parents) get 'taken' for hundreds, sometimes thousands of dollars. Totally unnecessary.
In the new digital age, have a creative sibling or parent or friend take 'posed' shots of you and get those printed to show to agents.
www.sag.org has a free list of reputable agencies all over the USA. Call the agents in your city from that list to see if they have 'open calls' for new models.
Good luck!

Ummm.... well there are millions of people who are extremely beautiful. You have to have the look, and you need luck. I doubt anyone can become the hottest new thing just by trying. And confidence and a good body is only a small part of the equation.
You should be at least 5'8 for girls and 6'0 for men . Go to an agency and see what they say..
