Hey, I'm a big country fan, my current favorites are Rascal Flatts, Emerson Drive, Garth Brooks, Tim Mcgraw, and Randy Travis.
But I'm looking to expand my horizons (while still keeping them within country), so my question is:
What's Your Favorite Country Song/Artist/Album, whatever you want to recommend to me.
Thanks!

I like the classic county, as far as I'm concerned, they haven't written any descent country music in ages! I think the recent popularity has been the kiss of death for county music, its become so watered down, it's like slightly country-flavored pop music! Also, there are all these people singing it that basicly suck; they must think the only qualification for being a county music star is use their first, middle and last names! OK, there's a few exceptions, but not many!
As for my favorite; there is no way could I suggest a specific, single song, I will give some people who typically sing country music in the way it was meant to be done, you can go on one of the online music sources and listen to samples of their work before buying anything (not everbody likes the true, real, hard-core, country music)
Try stuff by:
Boxcar Willie
C.W.McCall
Conway Twitty
Doc Watson
Dotty West
Eddie Arnold
Ernest Tubb
Faron Young
Gene Autry
George Jones
Hank Snow
Hank Thompson
Hank Williams (the good one; the 1st & original!)
Jim Reves
Johny Cash
Johnny Horton
Loretta Lynn
Kitty Wells
Lefty Frezzell
Marty Robbins
Merle Haggard
Michael Martin Murphy (one of the few good recent singers)
Oak Ridge Boys
Patsy Cline
Patti Page
Porter Wagoner
Ray Price
That should be enough to expand your horzons for now.
If you were to pick just one to listen to, try Kitty Wells!
If scientitsts were going to genetically engineer a human being specifically for the purpose of singing county music, they could not do any better than Kitty Wells! She has the perfect voice for that traditional country sound!

I love Darryl Worley's "Living in the Here and Now"! That's my favorite song.
Other favorites:
Cole Deggs & The Lonesome "I Got More"
anything by Little Big Town
anything by Conway Twitty
(you already mentioned Randy Travis)
I like all of George Strait's songs
Brad Paisley's "Online" (I think it's hilarious)
anything by Alison Krauss and Union Station (okay... they're more in the bluegrass genre)
I love Loretta Lynn
Hank Williams Sr.
That should be enough to get you started, anyways. I would check out some classic country. There's some really great songs that you're missing out on!
