Isn't it ironic that the criminal justices system that is indicting Vick for electrocuting dogs is responsible for electrocuting humans?

yes, I know ..... but the dogs are innocent. Please spare me.

Im not defending vick. But lets put things in perspective. The state of will be euthanizing the rest of Vick's dogs. Does anybody care that the states kills thousands of dogs everyday. They are animals not people, people.

yeah life's full of little ironies here's another one, when folks go hunting they call it a sport yet no one bothers to tell the bears or deer that and yet if one decided to start a boxing match with someone without telling them first they tend to arrest you go figure, either way they only tend to zap the ones who have been found quilty of murdering more then their fair share of people. it could be worse we could still be boiling them in oil or cutting their heads off with rusty dessert forks. i tend to think killing anything that really doesn't pose some kind of therat to you is inhumane but that's just my opinion

First off, they euthanize the pitts that have followed the trend of violent training and digusting living conditions leading to violence. Secondly, they know that these animals have the potential to get vicious based on where they are from. Thirdly, from what I know, we do have a mostly fair legal system that electrocutes criminals when they have done something drastically wrong. Now, if you are talking about dogs in the animal center that they euthanize because they have been sitting there too long and have not been given a home, then we may have something to argue about, but even still, these dogs arent electrocuted, or drowned, they are given a combination of drugs that slow their bodies into a death that is not as disgusting. The way I see it, its an easy death, for humans and animals alike.

Lastly, I hope they put that mofo Vick in jail, but mostly because he was too stupid to graduate the "hood", become someone, and go back to doing the same sh*t in his life prior....

Furthermore, Im not sparing you, because I have had pitts, and I currently have 2 dogs right now, and that man is a complete idiot for involving himself in such low life sh*t...

It has NOTHING to do with his color...Same goes for all...

"yes, I know ..... but the dogs are innocent. Please spare me."
----Well, it's true. But, that being said, I'm not sold on the death penalty. Too much corruption and error (and the potential for future corruption and error) in the justice system for me to support killing folks.

"Does anybody care that the states kills thousands of dogs everyday." ----I do, as do other animal rights activists. Unfortunately, not all animal rights activists embrace the "no kill movement" ( http://www.nokilldeclaration.org ). The animal rights movement is sort of divided over the isssue.

"They are animals not people, people." ----I hate it when people make such statements. We're ALL animals.

Those of you who've mentioned other forms of animal usage: You've made good points regarding hypocrisy. However, I would like to stress that many people ARE concerned with everything that you've mentioned. Animal rights activists demonstrate all over this country (and others). (The FBI is in love with ARAs. Number one domestic terrorist threat my a*s.) Anyway, to be fair, no one can avoid supporting animal usage. Simply participating in the economy is supporting animal usage. Unless (or until) the day comes when all forms of animal usage have been abolished, our only option is to MINIMIZE our support of it.

Yes, it's inhumane to electrocute humans or dogs, but I get what you're saying. People are being very hypocritical. They don't just euthanize Vicks dogs, but other dogs as well b/c they can't find homes for them.

Not only that, but animals are slaughtered everyday for human consumption, & past history has shown that they are not always killed in humane ways or bred in humane ways.....yet ppl still eat beef, pork, and chicken...interesting.

There is also hunting, which seems to be a fav past time of many ppl. Most ppl do this simply for the sport of it or to consume or sell it for profit. I would consider this just as cruel.

Let's not forget about all the whales & fish killed for human consumption & profit ,and we can't forget about all the companies that test their products on animals.

~yes, we have a lot of hypocrites.

I am so f-in SICK of people trying to make this case about anything other that what it's about- animal cruelty. Being a sadistic piece of garbage who tortures others for fun and cash is evil and wrong. The end. No matter who he were I'd be just as adamant that he should go to prison and be left all alone with other felons, many of whom like puppy dogs more than people

Inflicting pain on anyone is wrong in my book. I do believe that Vick should pay in some respect for the cruelty he either inflicted ,or condoned of, on innocent animals though...

This is without a doubt the dumbest thing I have ever read on Yahoo Answers. This is dumber than anything Robert Shelton, Ralph Kramden, Terrell, Tammy, Voila, Voila's momma, or any other troll on here has ever written. There is no irony here. We electrocute people that have killed other people. Mike Vick, the piece of garbage, electrocuted dogs that would not do well enough at fighting to the death. This is ridiculous. You have made us all dumber with this garbage. The NAACP is wrong for defending Vick and you are wrong for posting this. You are a racist. Pure and simple. You defend Vick because he is black. If a white athlete had done this, you would have condemn him as would I. Dogs love us unconditionally. They defend us and have helped us for thousands of years. You are a fool and a piece of crap for posting this and any one that defends you, agrees with you, or does not condemn you for this is also a racist piece of crap. To answer your question, No. And dummy, the no is for the ironic question, I was going to give you the benefit of a doubt that you would know the answer to first question. My mistake

I don't think people should kill people, dogs, any animal unless it has done lots of harm and is a huge threat to others in the community.

What Vick did was wrong and downright sadistic but OMG!!! The entire incident is being blown way out of proportion!

It pisses me off when people who will gladly kill an animal for food are so quick to pass judgement! LIke STFU already.

Its true.

How would they like it if something more powerful came along and electrocuted them.

These people will have a lot to answer for when they leave this world.
Thats if they do not go srait to hell first.
