Certain plastics and vinyls immediately bring back images of Christmas morning. I've since read this is fairly common in people 45 and under. Before that they didn't have these chemicals in their childhoods.

Other than that, the smell of the boardwalk at the beach is a powerful one and the air after a thunderstorm.

the smell of my grandparents laundry room. thats where they keep a bunch of extra shampoo/conditioner bottles. you how how every family has their own scent? well that scent is my grandparents so when ever i smell it it reminds me of my childhood. weird but thats it. a taste that reminds me of when i was younger is my other grandmas macaroni and sauce. that side of my family is so Italian that they don't even speak English so they know how to cook! i don't have contact with that side of my family any more but the taste of my grandmas sauce reminds me of old childhood memories. i haven't seen them in years and i haven't eaten any of their sauce since. i miss it. i use to eat so much in a sitting that id end up throwing up.

Spookily enough I had a cheese and onion sandwich for the first time in years last night and it reminded of when I was wee and going to work with my dad in his lorry, we always has cheese and onion pieces with a hint of engine oil washed down with Irn Bru.

Sigh, those were the days.

Granny Smith apples [ used to steal] them even though they were still green and my Mom used to warn me that i was going to hurt myself trying to cut it with a knife, i did not listen and have a scar on my finger.
Figs, used to steal them as well and now have a lovely complexion from the wee that was poured on me.
Sheepskin used to help sort sheepskin on the farm in Oudtshoorn SA.
Tea reminds me of the smell of when we had horses, their breath smells like tea to me.:)))
Rooibos-tea [Redbush tea] also on the farm they export it and we used to play between the bushes.
AAAAHHH i miss all that:)

MILK!! When I was in infant school, at breaktime, we were given minature bottles of milk with a straw. It was always warm and made me feel sick! To this day, cannot drink milk on it's own! Can anyone remember having this? One bottle in the crate had a picture on it, I think it was micky mouse?! and we all use to sit and hope that we got it, as it made you monitor for the day!!
