They may intersect at one point, at no points, or at infinitely many points. Lines that intersect at no points are parallel. Lines that intersect at infinitely many points are coincident.

If they are distinct, there are only 2 possibilities: either they intersect at a single point or doesn't intersect at all (parallel, inte Euclidean geometry). If you consider the posiibilty that the 2 lines can be the same, then the 3d possibilty is that they are coincident.
