Yeah between the arch elitist liberal/progessives and the arch elitist arch conversatives both.
Both think they are royality and we are nothing but as you say useful idiots.
And here is a new flash almost everyone of them come out of Havard or Yale mostly Havard.
Think we should maybe pass a constitutional admendment making it against the constitution for any graduating from Havard or Yale be be elected to National public office.

Liberals are MUCH MUCH smarter and intelligent then Conservatives.
The liberals strengths are facts, research, science and rational thinking.
The Conservatives strengths are emotion, religion, generalizations and name calling. So in other words, you don't have to think....just say what you feel with out having to look at the facts or ethics of a situation.
Libs are always more educated. You'll notice that most college professors are left leaning. The higher up you go in school, the more left leaning people you meet.
Cons appeal to the most ignorant groups of people. For example, every single member of the KKK is a con. Religious people only care about their belief. They shelter themselves from anything that might make the question their belief.....like science and facts.
Most Conservatives argue their beliefs based on how they feel emotionally, disregarding all reason and facts. Cons are usually too ignorant and/or dumb to realize their thinking doesn't make sense. These same people also enjoy watching cars speed in circles for hours at a time. Go figure...
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Cons and Reps approach important issues like children would. They only are capable of seeing everything in black or white. They can't comprehend the idea of individuals and exceptions. It's either all or nothing. "You support welfare for poor families? Well, then you're a communist!!!!" "You're against the war? Well, then you're a terrorist!!!"
Think about it...

Leftist government elites promote...what? Marxist policies???
Where the hell do you people come up with this stupid **** anyway?
Is your lives that boring that you have to constantly assign liberals and progressives to a communist-society which RESTRICTED such freedoms by the point of a gun--and fear?
Inquiring minds wanna know.

Not superior, just less mentally lazy.
Fair number make for some well oiled trivia fact machinery though, like touring repeatedly through some great right-wing candy factory.
It's the political equvalent of having hoards of bean-counters with horse-blinders on. All very grey and dull, 'till you let in a little sunlight or peel one of the blinders away.

While not in all cases and there are definitely many exceptions, I believe that, on average, left-thinking people are better read and to put it bluntly more intelligent than right-thinking people.
This is not because the right thinking people are stupid, I don't want to sound like a jerk, it's just because I think a majority of right-thinking people are right thinking people because that's what they've been told to be. Once a person starts doing unbiased independent reading and research they start leaning towards leftist ideas without even realizing it.
However a problem with this is that it's a relatively quick process. The American definition of liberal is so similar to it's conservative that it's ridiculous. Once you start realizing things, you start leaning towards Marxism or anarchism (depending on your pre-set ideals, and what you've read).
I don't believe that conservatives are a bunch of stupid consstruction workers and rednecks, I just happen to believe a majority of those not-interested in politics (a majority of people anyway) think conservative.

Yes. Proof:
(1) By definition, 50% of all adults have below average intelligence.
(2) While it is certainly true that not all conservatives are stupid, it is still true that all stupid people are conservative. (Observed by John Stuart Mill in the 19th century.)
(3) Every citizen gets one full vote, even when his/her brains are only half full.
(4) More than 50% of pro-Bush voters in 2004 believed the unbelievable: that Sadaam Hussein planned the 9/11 attack and that we had found a WMD in Iraq!
Q.E.D. (Quod Est Demonstrum - Latin for "which is proven") I translated that for the conservatives who flunked geometry.

I have observed that attitude. I've also observed that it changes whenever it happens to be convenient. If the Libs need the conservatives to be uneducated red necks to make their argument that they are intellectually superior; that's the truth. If the progressives need the conservatives to all be greedy multi-millionaires that don't care about you, in order to convince you that they can take care of you better than you; that's the truth.

If they were they would supply worked out solutions complete with consequences of both sides of the equation. This goes for economics & wars. Since they refuse to even discuss consequences I've gotten to the point of just discounting their suggestions. Their writing abilities is totally immaterial, I'm looking for reasoning!

I would never pretend to know whether one group was mentally superior to another, but I have definitely observed that liberals and progressives are more open-minded than conservatives. I think it goes hand in hand with the idea of progress.

as far as regular people, I dont know. Im a smart conservative who is open-minded but not blank-slated. As far as the govt, it seems to be the other way around, occasionally. Right now, both the left and right look stuid in DC.
