for the first one combine the w terms
33 +15w = 6w
then subtract 15w from both sides
33 = 6w - 15w
33 = -9w
w = -33/9 = -3 2/3
second
expand parenthesis:
60 + 24y = 4y - 6 + 9y
66 = -11y
y = -6
Third
form is y = mx + b
so 3y + 8 = -8x + 3 becomes:
3y = -8x + 3 - 8
3y = -8x - 5
y = -8/3 x - 5/3
whatever is in front of x is the slope (-8/3 in this case)
and the number term by itself is the intercept (-5/3 in this case)

First one:
You have to combine "like" terms. "like" terms here are those that have "w". Combine means to add. Then you put the variable terms on one side, and the constant on the other. Then solve.
Combine: 33 + 15w = 6w
Separate: 33 = -9 w
Solve -3&2/3= w
#2: Multiplication. everything in one of those ( ) is multiplied by the constant in front of the ( ). If there is none, 1 is understood. Then you do the stuff you did in problem 1.
60 + 24y= 4y -6 + 9y
66 = -11y
y =-6
3. Slope intercept form is Y= MX+B where M and B are constants. So you have to move everything but the y term to the other side, tidy things up and divide by the y coefficient .
MOVE: 3y = -8x +3 -8 TIDY 3y = -8x-5
DIVIDE y = - 8/3 x - 5/3
Then -8/3 is the slope and -5/3 is the intercept.

33+15w=3w-w+4w
I like to think of equations as a scale. The left side of the scale is in perfect balance with the right side. The = sign is the pivot point on the scale.
Now , I can add, subtract, multiply or divide what's on one side of the scale PROVIDED I DO THE EXACT SAME THING TO THE OTHER SIDE .
Now, let's tackle your problems using this scale concept
( 33 + 15w ) = (3w-w + 4w) I put brackets around everything on both sides of the scale to remind me that I have to treat everything that's on the scale, not just part of it.
BEDMAS: Brackets, then Exponents, then Division, then Multiplication, then Addition, and finally Subtraction. That's the order in which all math work is to be done, working from left to right,
(33+ 15w)=(3w-w+4w)
Brackets first
(33+15w)=(6w)
Subtract 33 from both sides
33 + 15w -33 = 6w -33
15w =6w -33 (you probably just move terms across the equal sign and change signs. I thought you might like to see why you van do that).
Subtract 6w from both sides
15w - 6w =6w -6w -33
9w=-33
Divide both sides by 9
9w/9=-33/9
w=-33/9, or - 11/3
That's all there is to it.
Problem 2
12(5+2y)=4y-(6-9y)
BEDMAS
No brackets can be tidied up
No exponents
No division
Multiplication
60+24y=4y-1(6-9y) I threw the 1 in there because
1 times anything changes nothing, but perhaps it will clarify the multiplication for you.
60+24y=4y -6 +9y
24y-9y -4y=-6-60
11y=-66
y= -66/11
y=-6
Problem 3
3y+8=-8x+3
The "slope-intercept form" is y=mx+b. You have to get +1y all by its lonesome self on the left side of the equation. Once you've done that , the slope of the line is "m", the coefficient of the x term, and the constant "b" is where the line cuts the y-axis. It is called the y-intercept.
3y+8= -8x+3
3y=-8x+3-8
3y= -8x -5
y=-8x/3-5/3
That is now in the slope-intercept form. The slope of your line is -8/3, and the - sign tells me it leans to the left. the line cuts the y-axis -5/3 units below the origin Its coordinates are (0,-5/3)
Enough math for today! Good luck to you

#1 33+15w=3w-w+4w
33+15w=6w add like terms
9w=-33
w= - 33/9
#2 12(5+2y)=4y-(6-9y) distribute
60+24y=4y-6+9y
60+24y=13y-6 add the like terms
11y=-66
y= - 6
#3 3y+8= -8x+3
-8 -8
3y=-8x-5
3/3y=-8/3x-5/3 divide by 3
y=-8/3x -5/3 in slope intercept form
y=mx+b

think of of two numbers that multiply to get +40 two and upload to get -thirteen -7 and -6 (w - 7) (w - 6) = 0 you may now set the two areas equivalent to 0 w - 7 = 0 and w - 6 = 0 sparkling up the two areas. w = 7 and w =6
