This may be a little gross to some people, but my health teacher told us that John Wayne's autopsy said that he had 40 pds of fecal matter in his colon when he died. Which was one of the causes of his death. Is that true? I haven't heard this anywhere else but through my teacher. I know that is kinda nasty, but I just wanted to know if my teacher was right, or wrong.

well, I know from the news (at the time of his death) that he died of cancer from smoking and pneumonia while in the hospital.

I did here something about his autopsy and that there was some sort of embarassing info that his wife was trying to conceal. maybe that was it.

40 pounds? what the he** did he eat?

Yes I heard this also. But can't we let the man die in peace. Did we really need to know this. Do we want everyone in the world to know what was in our colon, ears, mouth, diary, refrigerator, house etc. I guess that is the price of fame.

Supposedly, the man never ate a salad or piece of fruit in his life.
