longitude does to the extent that it determines whether you are in the middle of a continent or coastal.

Prime meridian is where Greenwich is - lots of bl**dy rain!

tornadoes are weather, if you get enough of them in a single place, they influence the climate

longitude does not affect climate it only affects location and what time zone your in. The Prime Meridian is a longitude line, but latitude of a location affects the type of temps. latitude lines include the equator, tropic of cancer, and tropic of Capricorn.

Pioneers from Europe who tried to colonize Africa failed miserably because the latitude caused different weather patterns and climate conditions.
