I saw this as a kid in the '80s, but don't know if it was new then.
I think it was a King Arthur but not sure, the scene I remember involved a male wizard (Merlin?) having a battle with a female wizard where they kept turning each other into things. It was a hilarious scene.Title and date of film would be great, thanks!

I remember that movie. My mom took me to see it when it came out in 1963. I loved it! It was The Sword in the Stone. I loved the battle between Merlin and the witch/female wizard.

I just checked to see what disney movies were made in the 80s.
I think its The Black Cauldron (1985)
but The Sword in the Stone (1963) is about Arthur so that might be it . Take a look at the websites I provided. Good luck.

That was "The Sword in the Stone," made back in 1963. It's one of the Disney films that was made with their Xerox "Xerigraphic" animation technique, as was "101 Dalmations."

Was it "sword in the stone"? There was a merlin in that...but I think it just had a boy in it...and he got turned into a squirrel and a fish at one point.
