I got my belly button pierced yesterday, and i had no problem with it beforehand. i wasn't very nervous, or scared cause i have no problem with needles, as i've had plenty. I've also had my ear pierced and i was also fine.

But yesterday, after i had walked out of the piercing place, and into the shop next door to see my friends, i felt really dizzy, my vision went funny, i couldn't hear, i thought i was going to faint, i had to sit on the floor of the shop and put water on the back of my neck and hold a plastic bag as i thought i was going to throw up.

How come this happens to me?

i had eaten enough, but my friend was with me, and said they usually at other places give you a jelly bean to help your blood sugars which i think may have been my problem. But yeah i think its that crossed with a bit of after shock. just seemed strange thats all =]

what id you eat th morning before?
my friend didnt eat ething before she hd her ears done, and on the way out of the salon collapsed, as her body didnt have enough energy or sugar to cope with the shock.
its will hve hurt, and not been normal for the body, so you probably just hadnt gotten enough energy in ur body beforehand.

hope this helps.

Your body reacts the way it reacts. When the needle hits the nerve, your body reacts, it has nothing to do with how you feel about needles. It's like when the doctor hits your knee with that little rubber mallet, you can keep your reflex from working to move your leg. Or like when you bet up too fast after sitting cross legged for a long time. The body is a machine and that's just how it's built.

Low blood sugar, a hypoglycemic attack after standing up. Not enough blood flow to the brain cuts off oxygen and then you feel tingly, can't see and then faint.

How to correct it:

Eat 6 or 7 small meals throughout the day that include more protein and raw plant foods than starch, and no junk food.

could have been set off by a few things put together, the heat, lack of food, lack of water, the pain, blood loss, body's reaction the foreign objects, getting your ears done is alot less traumatic to the body then your navel, it's different tissue, different area, larger hole

Even though you're not scared of needles, they can be a bit of a shock to the body sometimes, and I think that's why you nearly fainted.

I don't think it had anything to do with fear of needles since it happened after you had the piercing done. I would check with a Doctor....

you more then likely didn't eat before hand. Not eating before traumatic things will make this happen.
