i am in a lawnmwer group .no one wants to be president.a treasuer /secratary was voted in.someone said that funds were being miss used.one groupy called me stating the treasuer was goning to be arrested.my question is . could i be arrested if i hold all documents.i have
acounting to a ungoverned group.i thinck theres no insura
.why would i put my name on a checking acount.let them sign their owen names .this caused a scandle.this is a usa group.

This is about the 5th time you have posted questions about this group. The problem is, you never really explain what is going on. It is hard to answer a question (legally) when the facts are not present. One question in my mind is, how old are you? Whenever money is involved, you need organization. If you cannot find people who want to be the officers of a group, the group should fold. Anyone who handles money for an organized group should be bonded.

Don't put your name on anything. If the group is in trouble, this could end up on your credit report. I've been in this situation before. The best thing to do is to politely decline, and say that you just don't feel comfortable taking on a leadership role at this time.

I wouldn't allow my name to be attached to any group that has money and dues, which may or may not be misused.
