It surely has to be the sinner, otherwise what would the Saviour save anyone from? Fear is a great tool for herding any flock. Most people fear what they don't understand, and there's a lot of that about. Monotheism catered for limited imagination and short attention span. If you offer easy answers you've got their attention. If you can kick the legs out from under them by making them feel guilty for something they had nothing to do with, and can't undo, you've got them by the ears. Obviously, attaching a sense of "sin" to what they naturally do regularly, and adding that to the alarm and guilt, was a brilliant device for commanding obedience to any priest offering to intervene on their behalf. It's then a short step to having one Top Savior or Prophet for all of time, with exclusive franchises. That guarantees multiple monopolies, and relieves any of the believers from having to learn anything further. Brilliant! No wonder it's been such a commercial success whatever the packaging - from Iraq to USA. It's a pity about the bloody competition, though, isn't it.

The Saviour came first, author and finisher of creation. As St. John's prologue says, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God, the same was in the beginning with God and without Him was not anything that was made."

When I sing the Exultet on Easter night I sing, "O happy fault, O necessary sin of Adam, that merited such a Redeemer". There is a co-causality to Sin and Salvation, but the person is always the priority. In the Trinity there is no before or after, also there is no essential "fall" in creation. God made all good, and in making Man said, "Tov me'od", very good, a conscious moral agent. We were made with an awareness of evil and death that we might overcome it, choosing life. Creation is still in process, God is still at work. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. Always we have the choice between life and death. sin and salvation. The saviour was there from the beginning, and is the end.

Sinner create SAVIOR....
savior cause SINNER....
it is not a question who come first, it is the word "create" and "cause"...one is positive and the other one is negative
If a world with all the saviors, may be more war and more fight, if a world with all the sinners, may be peace and harmony.....
but nobody can label who is savior? and who is sinner?
only history can tell!!!

The sinner. From what I have learned in the Bible, Adam and Eve were the first sinners. The Savior is Christ. He came later on. He came to save the sinners. Make sense?

Probably the sinner because if the savior came first he or she wouldn't have anyone to save..

We can listen to the God we believe in or believe in no God. But the pure, raw truth is the only person who can really 'save' us is ourselves. We have the free will and we make the choices, for better or worse.

We can listen to wise teachings and the words of those who might help us along the path of life. But it ultimately comes back to us because we are both a sinner and our own salvation.

So the only real way to answer this is to say they arrived at the same time and they are us.

You blew the humour out of everything with this one. (Did I give you a star??? Can I take it back?) FIRST came God, who for some reason CREATED SINNERS, & then had a SON to save them from what he'd made them, if they were sorry enough for being what God MADE them to be.

Edit: Good grief, see what you got me into? I've been using satire & silliness with you, Mr. Flutterybypurr, for some time. I never meant to "put anyone down," or to offend in any way. You said yourself that you ask ambiguous questions & you like"entertainment." I think it's time for me to STOP.

If you are referring to Jesus, the Savior of the Bible, then of course He was in existence long before any sinner.

It clearly states repeatedly in the Bible; that God created the earth and all that is in it and God is a three part entity which includes God the Father,Jesus, who is the Son of God, and the Holy Spirit.
