poor education and a culture that treats them as objects to be used and thrown away.

They have higher abortion rates, and I'm just guessing here, probably because they have much higher unwanted pregnency rates.
Lack of comprehensive education, no access to health care, and conservatives' blocking government funded free health clinics from informing them enough for them to take proper precautions before engaging in sex all leads to a much higher rate.
If, for instance, the FDA had followed the advice of their own SCIENTISTS and allowed for over the counter sale of emergency contraception (which is NOT an abortion/miscarriage inducer, by the way), how many of these abortions could have been prevented.
They say an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Nowhere is that more evident than when looking at the sex education and contraception information vs. abortion issue.

Out of the 1.2 million abortions happening every year in America, 34% of them are done by black women. This could be due to societal factors (low income, unemployment, or simply the father has abandoned her). Either way, it's a real blow to blacks since they are their own worst enemy. Their population is already 9%, abortion isn't helping black people. It cheapens them. The NAACP is pro-choice and actually has meetings with NARAL. I don't understand why this issue isn't discussed by Wright, Sharpton, or Jesse Jackson.

I feel that this question is a little racist. I guess the cost of abortion varies from place to place, but not by much. You have to look at where you got this information from, if it was done by a survey or not, where it was conducted, which age group it applied to. Theres probably a whole lot more to it than that.

Well Planned Parenthood, a major proponent of abortion rights and a major abortion provider, was actually founded by people who actually believed that cheap, legal abortions would be a good way to reduce he number of undesirable people in a society: poor, minority, disabled. This is the same sort of eugenics philosophy that influenced our prison systems and opinions on immigration.

I have no idea. I don't see why black americans would get a better rate on abortion.
Perhaps more whites use birthcontrol? Maybe the government pays them, maybe they're all for Al Sharpton.
