What the what now? Was Beckham playing? I saw some chap waddling about, but man of the match??
Then again, there wasn't much of a pick.
Probably Micah Richards and later Wright-Phillips looked bright.

It was boring for the first 10 minutes.Once England scored,the game opened up and there was more positive play from both teams.It was a good game on the whole.Micah Richards looked very impressive-he was quick and looked like the best man on the field.Beckham was average at best-his crosses were poor and he seemed to vanish from the scene at times.

He didnt "run"..he ambled, largely 'cos he plainly still isnt fully fit. His passing was mediocre, nothing more. He looked barely above average in a generally poor team.
So, yeah, he was probably the best England player...apart from Richards, Shorey, and Wright-Phillips who were the only 3 who looked at all interested.
