I find it depressing that it's so cold here. How do I cope or adapt?

I went from living in South Texas to Montana with winter coming on. Were layers and give yourself about two months. Get out side as much as possible and don't heat up the inside (car, house whatever) over 72 at least at first this will help you adjust. If you are going from cold weather to hot raise the thermostat to about 76 to help you still continue to adjust when you are indoors.

Layers works for me. If you keep your head warm and feet warm that's half the battle. The high tech fabrics and wool or wool blends are good. If you're going to be in snow Alaskan Muck Boots are wonderful and it's the only boot that keeps my feet warm. Eat more meats and warm food. Stay away from icy drinks. Once you are warm you just might like where you live.

I've been looking for the answer to the opposite problem all my life. I can't stand the heat and the sun. It makes me very depressed. I'm not myself June though August and the only thing that keeps me going is the thought of Autumn and relief. I'm 42 and it seems to get worse every year.
