Yes I do get scared to the point of anxiety attacks. It is not the storms themselves that scare me. I know if you stay indoors away from windows, electronics and phones you will be safe. My problem is that on the Fourth of July we were next to an explosion of the fireworks display on the ground....Now thunder makes me crazy because I remember the terror of running for my life with the kids in tow. Not a good anxiety to have when you live in the lightening capital of the US.

It basically relies upon on the canines. I had Belgian Shepherds Groenendaels and the female hated storms and could escape from the backyard and lie in my mom-in-regulations storage dealing with our residing house. It replaced into the only time she could escape. The male could no longer care much less concerning the storms and that i had lightening hit the shed around the corner with the main deafening explosion of sunshine and sound. The male replaced into contained in the front backyard in basic terms metres away and wasn't worried in any respect. I actually have a Kelpie who additionally isn't fazed by using thunder. I actually have a 5 month previous Belgian Shepherd Malinois who hasn't been by using a typhoon yet yet by using fact the construct up is beginning right here i visit desensitise him. basically somewhat an test cos i've got no longer carried out this until eventually now yet we get some extensive thunder storms right here and that i do no longer choose him freaking out. by using ways, all my canines have been outdoors canines, inspite of the undeniable fact that no longer chained up. bzzflygirl: sturdy success inclusive of your Belgian Shepherd. i think of they are super canines and make outstanding kin pets.

I love them. Last night we had several hours of lightnin' and thunder. I was watching for quite awhile. Now if I was outside standing in the woods or something, I do not think I would be as excited lol

Sorry you are scared :( Crank up some tunes and make sure the curtains/blinds are closed. *hugs*

Yes I do. Get everybody on the couch and get your big quilt. All arms, legs, feet - have to be covered. Pretend the couch is the ship and the floor is the ocean. If that doesn't work - call me and I'll come get you. It's sunny and hotter than Satan's @sscrack here.
